The problem of psychophysiological compatibility is not limited to the teamwork of a crew when controlling a spaceship and its systems when conducting investigations. On prolonged flights the crew must not only work together, but rest as well. Here mutual sympathy, friendship, and a common point of view are assuming great importance in the interrelationships of crew members, that is, a crew with great solidarity is formed. Although group psychology still cannot give exhaustive answers to many practical questions, even now on its basis one can formulate a method for organizing the crew for a multiman ship. A crew designated for a prolonged flight during its period of training must not only undergo different types of preparation and tests, but must also rest and spend their free time together.
