The manual provides general guidance safety criteria, procedures, instructions, precautions, and related technical information as assistance to those persons responsible for minimizing the hazards associated with the handling, storage, use, and transportation of liquid propellants in current use by the services or NASA. Twenty-one chapters exhaustively cover the safety and hazards aspects of nearly thirty propellants and monopropellants. Useful chemico-physico data are given together with the environmental health, toxicity, fire, and explosion hazards. Recommended methods for equipment cleaning, firefighting, disposal, and means for providing personal protection are given. (Author)
