This summary report presents the principal results of the Solar Thermal Conversion Mission Analysis applied to the Southwestern United States. The mission analysis methodology was applied on a consistent basis to the evaluation of alternative solar thermal conversion concepts for providing electrical power under realistic operating environments. Based upon the comparative technical and economic evaluation of the alternative concepts, preferred concepts were identified and technical and economic goals defined for these concepts. Subsequently, a preliminary market capture potential was made for the preferred systems.
