The U.S. Army Defense Ammunition Center and School (USADACS), Validation Engineering Division (SMCAC-DEV), was tasked by the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) Systems Command, to test an M927Al truck with a 20-foot International Organization for Standardization (ISO) bed and an M923Al truck with a 14-foot cargo bed for compliance with Transportability Testing Procedures, TP-91-01, July 1991. The procedures include rail impact and road transportation tests. Both vehicles satisfied the test requirements after hardware replacement and modifications were accomplished.
