Lecture notes for the AGARD Fluid Dynamics Panel (FDP) Special Course on Missile Aerodynamics have been assembled in this report. The aim and scope of this Course was to present the current state of the art on specific topics of tactical missile aerodynamics. Specifically, topics and methods covered include: Aeromechanical Design of Modem Missiles, Semi-empirical Predictive Tools, Lateral Jet Control, High Angle of Attack Aerodynamics, Analysis and Modelling of Missile Infrared Radiation, Navier-Stokes Computations for complete Missile Configurations, and Navier-Stokes and Euler Computations for Supersonic Air Intakes. The material assembled in this report was prepared under the combined sponsorship of the AGARD Fluid Dynamics Panel, the Consultant and Exchange Programme of AGARD, and the von Karman Institute (VKI) for Fluid Dynamics.
