Safe, uninterrupted transportation will be provided through an area where the traveling public has experienced considerable delay over a period of many years. In addition, two potentially dangerous grade crossings are to be eliminated. Approximately 10 acres of additional right-of-way must be acquired. Within this proposed corridor, there are twelve residences, three apartment houses, and two commercial buildings. Approximately 59 persons will be displaced.
