An overview of the SMART (Simulator for Multiradar Analysis for Realistic Traffic) radar simulator is given. A generic simulator model is presented and the two major subsystems of SMART, the Traffic Subsystem (TSS) and the Radar Subsystem (RSS) are described. Software engineering aspects are discussed and samples of test results are presented in order to show the simulator operation.
