This Facility is authorized to evaluate Mark 7 arresting-gear service changes for the purpose of providing the fleet with safe, reliable hardware. After installation, the service changes are tested, in conjunction with concurrent test programs, to determine service life and possible problem areas. The majority of tests were conducted with heavyweight A-3 aircraft. (Author)
