Two series of full scale wind tunnel tests were completed on 15 hang gliders. The results were used to calculate the basic performance and stability characteristics and to analyze the critical limitations. The problem of pitching stability was investigated in detail. Implications of the results in areas such as take off, stall, dives, and settings are discussed.
