The intermodal injection locking of a 1.55 µm Fabry-Perot laser diode (FP-LD) using four-wave mixing is demonstrated. The injection locking took place up to seven modes away from the central mode of the FP-LD. The locking half bandwidth was 2.42 GHz and the sidemode suppression ratio was not less than 14.3 dB.
