The moving object detection has become widely exploiting research area in many applications of computer vision such as human-machine interface, robotics, and traffic surveillance. The video surveillance system usually contains both static and moving objects. The main task is to identify the physical movement of a moving object in a particular area. The objects that are present in the video system can be determined by moving object techniques. The methods that has been proposed earlier for the detection of moving object is found to be beneficial and also has some drawbacks. The objective of this survey paper is to provide a brief classification for the various approaches in detecting the moving objects with positives and negatives.
