ABSTRACT-This paper introduces an original waveform matching based data-processing method for TOF ranging. The key idea is to decrease measurement error by establishing contact between waveform and distance. The method consists of three steps: defining waveform parameters mathematically, establishing contact between parameters and distance, and deciding the weight of each parameter. This method is superior to the previous TOF data-processing methods in measurement accuracy and time complexity. And the method can adapt to the complex ranging environment, so that the TOF ranging technology can be applied in a wider range.
