As the rotational inertia of outer rotor electric machine is higher, the machine responds to the given speed slowly, so it's essential to introduce a speed regulation system to improve its dynamic performance. In this paper, the SVPWM algorithm is adopted. Based on this theory, Ud3 and Uq3 are controlled to be zero and Iq1 is adjusted to regulate the speed. Moreover, intermediate frequency range can reflect dynamic performance. Hence, this paper proposes the speed regulator based on intermediate frequency to improve system's dynamic performance. Finally, the experimental results show the method is effective.
