A decoupling control strategy consisting of robust feedback and feedforward compensation based on disturbance-observers is proposed for bank-to-turn (BTT) missile autopilot. For each of the three channels, the lumped disturbances, which consist of nonlinear couplings and external disturbances, are estimated by a disturbance observer and then feedforward compensated. Three distributed robust state feedback controllers are designed to stabilize the rest linear parts of three channels, respectively. Simulation studies demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
