This article describes an all-digital feedforward demodulator for use in implementing vector signal analyzers. An universal architecture is proposed for demodulating quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) and Gaussian frequency shift keying (GFSK) modulated signals with a wide variety of symbol rates. The demodulator employs an open loop structure to achieve clock synchronization, frequency offset, and phase offset compensation.
