Error correction codes are vital for data accuracy on the communication links in NASA inter-planetary missions. Preparata4, Kerdock4, and Nordstrom-Robinson16 are known to be equivalent error correction codes. This paper shows that these three codes are members of a subgroup of the Dihedral group D4. This paper also identifies a new error correction code which is fourth member of the Dihedral group.
