• JFK has highest average per flight taxi-out time savings from departure metering at 3.6 minutes, followed by LGA, EWR, ATL and ORD • ATL has highest total yearly taxi-out time savings, over 190000 hours, because of high number of operations, followed by ORD then JFK, EWR and LGA • Constrained airports such as PHL and BOS exhibit also significant benefits from departure metering • Gate congestion increased by 5–6 aircraft at most airports, up to 14 aircraft at ATL • Departure metering benefits can be achieved without negative impact on runway throughput
