India has seen a significant rise in vehicular traffic in recent years impacting the urban road efficiency because of limited road space and infrastructure. This issue is worsened using sub-optimal traffic control methods such as fixed-time signal control or manual control. Addressing these challenges, this study focuses on creating a system that retrieves real-time traffic data from the web and calculates the green signal duration for a specified road junction based on user-provided coordinates. It also investigates traffic management problems, congestion statistics, and existing solutions in India. The study discusses various architectures and methodologies implemented to address traffic congestion issues in India.
