LBO crystals of large size and good quality have been grown successfully by the top seeded solution growth method with different concentrations of the modifier, 2 mol %, 4 mol % NaCl and without NaCl. Changes in growth and morphology were observed. Comparisons for the as-grown LBO crystals of different NaCl concentration are presented. It is worthwhile to note that the growth rate increased by a factor of two for crystals of 4 mol % NaCl concentration.
