This paper conducts research on the selection and demonstration methods of allowable fuel grades in the aircraft design stage. Starting from the clauses and AC's requirements for fuel tank explosion protection and aircraft fire protection, the key systems affected by the selection of fuel grades are listed, such as fuel systems, APU systems, power plant systems, hydraulic systems, air management systems, etc. Fuel grade is a key constraint on the aircraft design process. At the same time, alternative solutions are given for the key constraint points of each related system, and the possible costs such as weight gain are pointed out. The allowable fuel grade selection method given in this article can guide aircraft designers to consider the overall situation and control the constraints of aircraft fuel grade on each system, helping to avoid repetition and iteration of subsequent design work.
