Birds damaging crops and warehouses, and turns out to be a major vertebrate pest jeopardising farm income. Farmers adopt a multitude of methods to scare away birds, viz visual, auditory, tactile, and olfactory, to scare off birds. While a few of these techniques work effectively, none consistently offer stand-alone protection. The majority of techniques have their own limitations and difficulties. Effectiveness of these deterrence techniques has not been investigated scientifically. Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technology provides a feasible solution to the aforementioned problem. The proposed methodology is a sustainable idea to develop a multi-rotor UAV (quad copter) outfitted with an infrasonic transmitter and FPV camera for bird deterrence and field monitoring. Infrasonic transmitters are employed because of its characteristics, such as long wavelength, unidirectional dispersion, and little absorption. Natural calamities such as earthquakes and wind turbulence produce infrasonic waves with wavelengths between 0.1 and 20 Hz, which can also be used as a route of escape. This method is a targeted one, and would not cause any harm or collateral damage.
