The aim of this paper is to develop a game using the Unity Engine game engine and Unity Engine-compatible assets, based on real asteroid data (such as asteroid value, types of minerals present on asteroids, etc.) to simulate asteroid/space mining, which is one of the most important issues and priorities of our time. Another objective of this work is to increase awareness, particularly in terms of planetary defense, through digitalization in education, by developing this game. In this context, mechatronic systems designed for asteroid mining games based on similar limited examples will be examined, and new types of mechatronic systems that can be used in possible asteroid mining missions in the future will also be proposed and developed for use in the simulation environment and the game.
