A methodology for developing special purpose hardware for real time signal processing applications has been described. The developed methodology is used to explain previously developed architectures for two different applications. First application is for the DOA estimation of sonar signals using the MUSIC algorithm. The second application is for separating large number of channels for on-board satellite communication applications.<>
