In the present work, based on high frequency wavelet analysis of dynamic signals of mechanical systems, a multiple-resolution wavelet analysis is carried out to the electrical signal of a cold-light lamp. It is shown in this work that harmonics not always repeat themselves through time. Also that harmonics of different amplitude can be located at the same frequency. Much work has to be done to explain the harmonic behavior found, but it may be said that the Morlet mother wavelet with Daubechies filters for power quality analysis is quite feasible.
