Summary form only given. Phase noise or timing jitter is an important attribute of mode-locked lasers. Active laser timing stabilization or synchronization schemes are often required in applications. In this work, we demonstrate a new phase stabilization technique that allows us to phase-lock up to the 33rd laser harmonic component. Simultaneous detection of phase noise for determination of laser timing jitter is also achieved in lieu of the use of commercial vector signal analyzers as in the recent work of Tsuchida.
