The existing telemetry archiving system stores data in flat files using APL's internal data format. Data in this format are non-decommutated data. Every time the data is accessed by the user, it has to be decommutated using other tools, which requires a considerable amount of time and resources. The data results from the decommutating process are stored in CSV (comma separated values) format files. Then the user will have to configure and use other analysis tools to do further analysis of the data. To avoid repeating the decommutation process for frequently accessed data, and to provide the user with a single point of access to the existing tools, we designed and implemented a second level archive system to store decommutated telemetry values of critical points needing extensive analysis in a relational database and a Web interface to provide a single point of access to the data and tools.
