From the complexity and the correlation, traffic time series of different density are studied. Micro headway is selected as the object, and multi-scale entropy is used to reflect the complexity of the evolution of traffic flow, meanwhile multifractal detrended fluctuation analysis (MFDFA) is used to analyze the long-range correlation and short-range correlation of traffic time series and its inherent law. It is to convert the complexity of traffic flow in time and space evolution to the research of the characteristics of the time series, in order to deeply understand the evolution of the relationship between different traffic states. Research methods are provided for engineering and technical personnel for traffic flow management, control and prediction.
