Aiming at the problem that the surplus torque is difficult to suppress in the electric load simulator of aircraft rudder, a composite control strategy combining improved crow search algorithm (ICSA) and two-degree-of-freedom internal model controller (2DOF-IMC) is proposed. Firstly, the mathematical model of the load simulator is established. Secondly, in terms of structural compensation, metal-rubber buffer spring is introduced to improve the loading stability. In terms of control compensation, 2DOF-IMC is designed by a two-step method, and the crow search algorithm (CSA) based on improved sine-cosine algorithm and levy flight strategy is used to realize the tuning of controller parameters. Finally, the effectiveness of the composite control strategy is verified by simulation experiments. The experimental results show that compared with PID control under the same parameter optimization conditions, the composite control strategy can improve the surplus torque suppression ability of the load simulator.
