The multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) cooperative tracking and monitoring control for the shearer is investigated via formation control technology. The trajectory of the shearer is designed by installing multiple rotation sensors. Then, formation controllers are designed for each UAV to tracking the promoted trajectory. Finally, the effectiveness of designing a formation controller was demonstrated based on simulation technology.
