Global satellite cellular system architecture utilizes a constellation of satellites, each with multiple spot beams/cells to provide coverage, and employs frequency reuse techniques to efficiently reuse the allocated spectrum. Identification of interfering cells of any satellite in the constellation is critical for cell management in order to provide interference-free communications services. The principles and techniques to identify the interfering cells are developed.
