Current aircraft designs provide great number of electronic systems managing high amount of data. Data mining, allows examining high data volume. Therefore, it provides capabilities to improve flight data analysis, reducing cost by reducing troubleshooting time and increasing quality and safety aspects through predictive behaviours. The current paper relates to the Airbus Defence and Space project, FRiiDA, developed to provide an integrated information technology solution standardizing the Flight Data Recorder analysis of its military transport aircraft. The FRiiDA architecture, maintenance and safety event conditions are discussed, providing, also, examples of some analysis. Current results have demonstrated that FRiiDA objectives are being accomplished since it allows taking preventive actions to ensure quality and aircraft safety. The results have also shown the high potential of FRiiDA in order to support in-service customer operations.
