An all-optical polarizer was demonstrated using a mutual-injection locking laser diode. Experimental results show that the proposed all-optical polarizer can re-polarize a polarization-scrambled 10 Gbps signal without state-of-polarization characterization and feedback control. The region on the Poincare sphere at which the proposed polarizer does not re-polarize the signal is investigated.
