Terahertz laser calorimetry has been employed to measure the emissivity of samples of the Herschel telescope mirror at T=77 K, and the absorptivity of absorbers meant for the PACS and HIFI instruments at T=10 K. As a spin-off, a simple broadband absolute power meter has been developed.
