This paper provides summary details for understanding the operations of a commercial Airline Operational Control (AOC) Center (AOCC), including functionality and capabilities. Included is a discussion on how these commercial operations can be applied to a military environment. To that end, this paper provides the Rockwell Collins concept of operations for a military airline operational control, including a concept for both the airborne and ground infrastructure to support the US Military's Global Air Traffic Management (GATM) initiatives.
