A novel technique to suppress the third-order intermodulation distortion (IMD3) in intensity-modulated analog links based on digital signal processing is proposed and demonstrated. In this scheme, we can dynamically obtain the nonlinear compensation function according to the actual situation. Experimentally, more than 20dB suppression of IMD3 has been achieved.
