In the present paper, we have investigated the performance of high-speed optical computing devices based on vertical-cavity-surface emitting laser (VCSEL) diodes made of GaAs with and without feedback. The characteristics of performance are the normalized transfer function of harmonic response, the gain overshoot, the resonance frequency, and the 3-dB bandwidth. The effect of the feedback regulator is deeply studied. Thermal physical parameters are considered in deep sense. The investigation is carried out through dimensionless and normalized analysis.
