We demonstrate a compact, low power 2/spl times/2 optical switch with a contrast ratio (21/spl plusmn/2)dB over the temperature range from 16/spl deg/C to 64/spl deg/C a polarization sensitivity < 2 dB and a propagation loss (3/spl plusmn/2)dB from /spl lambda/ = 1520 nm to 1580 nm.
