In this paper, the high-speed all-optical NOR gate using the semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) is demonstrated by using cross-gain modulation of the SOA, used for gain saturation-purpose by pump signal, at 10 Gb/s. Speed limitation reported by previous NOR gates is overcome by using clock signal for probe signal instead of a continuous wave (CW) light.
