In this paper, we present a method to enhance the noisy depth map. Firstly, we use joint bilateral filter to smooth noise and recover the lost region in depth map, and extract a detail layer by subtracting a base layer from the filtered depth map, then we amplify the detail layer adaptively. Finally, our method will yield the output depth map by adding the detail layer amplified to the base layer. Experimental results show better performance in improving the quality of depth map, our method not only enhances the details, but also recovers the lost region and reduces the noise in depth map.
