For the first time, the operation of a two-way line-of-sight communication channel for a ground base station with a stratospheric drone was modeled, which is connected directly and through a low-altitude Remotely Piloted Air Systems to the cellular network users. Original models were created to simulate data exchange using the NetCracker software taking into account a different number of users. The dependences of the average load of the “Base Station - Stratospheric Drone” channel on the size of transmitted packets, data transmission rate, the number of bit errors and the probability of data packet loss are obtained.
