Multiresolution diffused expectation maximisation performs segmentation on vector (e.g. color) images within a multiscale framework; segmentation is carried out via the expectation maximisation algorithm, coupled with anisotropic diffusion on classes, in order to account for the spatial dependencies among pixels.
