Generally, travelling by bus is convenient and safe, but due to the increase in passengers, it's going to be tough as nails now-a-days, and it will be even more challenging for blind people to travel by bus. The proposed system outlines a bus indication and bus disclosure system for visually challenged people moving from one bus stop to another bus stop. Visually impaired people use auditory-tactile cues such as a white cane and walking stick to get around independently. The drawbacks of the cane are that the visually impaired person must come into close adjacency with their environment to regulate the location of the hurdle. In this proposed system, we investigate bus indications for blind people using RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) to make their travel easier without relying on others. The RFID chip reader reads the RFID tag that is affixed to the bus whenever it arrives at a specific bus stop. If the tag gets detected and identified, then it is reported as a voice (sound) command to the visually challenged people in the bus station. This paper's results demonstrate that the proposed methodology's performance is promising in terms of cost, assurance and functionality. The proposed system is also used for elderly people.
