This paper introduces a microscopic simulation method for analyzing and evaluating carrying capacity of railway station. Capacity of railway station is extremely dependent on infrastructure and operation scheme. For simulation purposes, a railway station Infrastructures Representing Model (IRM) for fixed equipment was present first. Based on IRM and train operations, the main algorithm and process of evaluating method for railway station capacity is discussed in detail. In addition, we implement an automatic computer-based tool to analyze the capacity of railway station. The experimental results show that this product can be used for general railway station capacity analyzing and is also beneficial to guiding design or expansion of station.
