Some quantities must be understood to determine whether the electrical power generated is over-generated or under-generated. Those quantities are voltage and frequency. In this work, Grid Frequency and its behavior are considered. The electrical power generated should always be equal to the required electrical demand load. When these are not equal then voltage and frequency will have deviations which eventually leads to the collapse of the grid. Balanced conditions are necessary to ensure the system grid's stability, reliability, and power quality. To regulate it there is a necessity for some techniques that manage these quantities and respond accordingly. This paper discusses Auto-Underfrequency Load Shedding Schemes (AUFLS) schemes and the factors affecting them. It focuses on maintaining the frequency constant i.e. 50 Hz to restrain the deviations. In countries like India, it may not be important as the system grid is always 50 Hertz. It may be useful in applications like Microgrids and Smart grids. This paper helps to understand the functioning of the AUFLS in different instances and compares with the instances that affect its factors such as its block dynamics i.e. AUFLS block size, shedding sequence, and the number of blocks. In this work, it is identified that a higher number of blocks and increasing order shedding sequence has a higher frequency settling time when compared to other conditions.
