This paper shows the results of the joint implementation of a Fading Mitigation Technique and a semi-blind Channel Estimation when performing a wireless link with characteristics of fourth generation. The results give a benefit in the bit error rate and the maximum data rate when the system operates adaptively according to fading introduced by the channel. The Fading Mitigation Technique used in this work corresponds to the Data Rate Reduction. Meanwhile, the Channel Estimation is a semi-blind technique which employs a Mean Minimum Square Error algorithm.
