To facilitate space debris characterization, recognition, and cataloguing in space situation awareness, this paper represents the incomplete and phase-corrupted echoes of micromotion space debris using a nonparametric joint time-frequency (JTF) dictionary and obtains the sparse and phase-corrected JTF signature by iterative optimization. The proposed method avoids matrix inversion to reduce the computational complexity and can be extended to range-instantaneous-Doppler imaging readily. Simulation results have proved the effectiveness of the proposed method.
