The 3-D micromotion parameters reflect the target's motion characteristics and geometric structure, providing crucial information for identification. The extraction of micromotion parameters for the precession smooth-symmetrical cone is one of the research studies that focus on antimissiles. However, the extraction of 3-D micromotion parameters for the precession smooth-symmetrical cone requires the use of the multiview observation capability of the radar network or interferometric antenna array in current research. To solve this problem, an extraction method of 3-D micromotion parameters for the precession smooth-symmetrical cone based on the monostatic radar is proposed. First, the motion model of the cone is given. Subsequently, micro-Doppler properties are studied, and the relationship equation between micromotion parameters is derived. 3-D micromotion parameters (coning frequency, precession angle, cone height, bottom radius, and semicone angle) are extracted based on the relationship equation. The effectiveness of the algorithm is validated through simulated and measured data.
