This paper introduces the framework of iso-distortion contour to deal with the problem of depth distortion due to erroneous motion estimates, and various related aspects such as the effectiveness of the visibility constraint. The framework can also be used to inquire the uniqueness aspect of normal flow. Future work will examine the implications of the iso-distortion contours for the problem of multiple frame integration.
