This paper studies GPS and LiDAR spoofing attacks in UAV-based package delivery scenarios. An experimental testbed integrates PX4 autopilot, Gazebo simulator, and ROS to launch attacks on UAV navigation and obstacle avoidance systems. It was found that malicious software nodes can be added to generate false position and context data. Therefore, UAVs need a robust and intelligent security framework to detect attacks in real-time, to ensure successful mission completion.
