The influence of the initial launching azimuth of the missile on the hit probability of proportional navigation under side window detection is studied. Side window detection will seriously reduce the hit probability of the guidance, thus the optimal choice of the initial launch azimuth of the missile is of great importance to the space interception. To get the optimal initial launch azimuth region, combine the angle of deviation of missile in both vertical and horizontal plane to form a great variety of initial conditions by using the line of sight as a benchmark. Then the applicability and distribution of the application range of proportional navigation under the above initial conditions are analyzed by simulation. Finally, the optimal initial launch azimuth region of missile is obtained. The research results and methods have some reference meaning for the optimization of the initial launching azimuth of the missile under side window detection.
